Online Kitchen Doors

Domestic Policy

Ikea have released this series of kitchen designs, each with features like one of the main candidates in the UK election. Our favourite? BRÜN; specifically the work surfaces.

GRANITA - Tough stone kitchen surfaces, capable of taking a beating from blunt or sharp objects propelled at force

The Daily Bunny

We don’t normally post off-topic here at Online Kitchen Doors but these guys are just too cute to resist!

If you saw this nasty error message any time recently you can be assured it is fixed! Unfortunately some data was missing but we were lucky enough to find it.

Happy Christmas!

Happy Christmas from me and Online Kitchen Doors! There will be forth-coming posts on our plans for 2010 but we’ll be taking a break until the New Year.

See you all in 2010!

Merry Christmas,

I’ve added Disqus comments to each post, so now this is more of a two-way dialogue! Now when we post about changes to the website you can let us know your thoughts.

A Few Little Updates

We’ve made a couple of updates to onlinekitchendoors.co.uk recently and I wanted to tell you all about it. These updates are mostly to improve usability and overall user experience.

First, there have been a few little updates to the Advanced Quote screen. You’ll notice we’ve removed the template link from the individual door items page and added it to this screen. We figured it would be more useful to you there; now you’ll be able to print the template out straight from this page, go record your measurements on it and come back and input them to get your quote instantly.

That’s not all that we’ve added to this page. When you start adding to your quote, you’ll notice that a minus symbol appears next to the quantity. Clicking on this allows you to remove only one of that item, where you used to have to delete the whole line and add it again.

Remove one item from your quote without having to get rid of them all

The observant amongst you may also notice we’ve redesigned the “Contact Us” page. Now it lists three ways to get in touch with us; GetSatisfaction, our email address and a number which gets you straight through to our company directors (either myself or Chris).

Feel free to check out the rest of the website, we’ve made a lot of little tweaks here and there. We’d love to know your thoughts!

We had really struggled to find a company that could supply us with some made to measure replacement doors for our existing kitchen at a reasonable cost due to our kitchen being old and sizes no longer available. We then came across OnlineKitchenDoors.co.uk. The service and quality from start to finish as been excellent, We have already recommended to a friend.

– Neil Hoggins (Online Kitchen Doors Customer)

Our latest customer, Neil Hoggins, recently sent us some pictures of his new kitchen doors. Neil ordered from us and fitted them himself. We thought we’d share the pictures with the world, since Neil’s done such a great job! (Pictures after the page break)

Putting the ‘Online’ into Online Kitchen Doors

We’re finally online! It’s taken us about 2-3 months but we hope you’ll find it’s worth it. Online Kitchen Doors fully intends to be the cheapest, easiest and biggest online retailer of replacement kitchen doors; and we hope to have the best customer service to boot.

Chris and I really hope you find Online Kitchen Doors useful and intuitive. We’re fully open to suggestion though and as such we’ve set up a customer service site at Get Satisfaction. There, you’ll be able to leave us feedback on the website, our service or anything else you feel would benefit us and our customers.

We’ve tried really hard to address a big problem: make it easy to buy the doors I want at a price I can afford. In the coming months, we’ll find out whether we’ve addressed that problem. We’re looking forward to it!
